Wound Vac (NPWT)

A small portable pump that gently draws fluid away from a wound to help it heal.

What it does

The wound vac applies gentle, controlled suction to a sealed dressing on the wound. This removes extra fluid, reduces swelling, and helps healthy new tissue grow.

Watch a short how-to video

A short instructional video for this device will appear here. In the meantime, follow the written steps below — and call us anytime if you need a walkthrough.

How to operate it

  1. 1

Keep the unit upright and plugged in to charge whenever you're at home.

  2. 2

Carry it in the included shoulder bag when moving around — it's portable.

  3. 3

Check that the green light is on and there are no flashing alarms.

  4. 4

Your home health nurse will change the dressing — do not try to change it yourself.

  5. 5

Empty the canister only when your nurse or MMI shows you how, or call us.
